***Attention Android 10 Users*** Elac has a firmware page on their website for older subs like the S12EQ - you need to download the updated firmware to a thumbdrive, boot the subwoofer with that thumbdrive plugged into the USB outlet in the back of the subwoofer. After a few minutes it will be updated and you'll be able to use the new Sub Control 2.0 app to continue controlling your sub. This worked perfectly for me.

App no longer works with Android 10. Subwoofer is basically stuck in current settings, as Elac hasn't released firmware update to allow older models to use the newer version of this app. Do not recommend Elac subwoofers to anyone after all the problems with app connectivity, lack of firmware updates and no comment on fixing current broken apps

If you can't connect to your sub anymore, usually on later Android versions, follow the subwoofer firmware upgrade instructions on the Elac website. My S12EQ had the same problem; did the upgrade and all works well now with the Sub Control 2.0 app.
