RAID Protection at No Extra Cost

Protecting data is one of the most critical tasks in any IT environment because recovering lost data can be expensive or, sometimes, even impossible. For years, ATTO hardware RAID adapters were relied upon for data protection, increased performance, capacity expansion, as well as enhanced management capabilities. These same capabilities are now available with ATTO PowerCenter Pro.

A software interface built into ATTO 12 Gb/s ExpressSAS® SAS/SATA HBAs and ATTO ThunderLink® Thunderbolt™ adapters, PowerCenter Pro adds RAID protection and performance without the need or cost of additional hardware RAID components. Users can easily create RAID 0, 1, 1e and 10 groups. Although it can be used with all storage media, PowerCenter Pro is particularly useful for SSD storage, which provides 10x more performance and up to 500x lower latency than traditional hard drives.

Connect Directly to ALUA Fibre Channel Storage Systems

Most storage systems utilize redundant RAID controllers with multiple Fibre Channel inputs to assure optimal performance and continuous uptime. Operating systems must support Asymmetric Logical Unit Access (ALUA) to recognize and manage multiple paths to the same storage device. However, ALUA support can be limited in macOS© and each storage vendor implements ALUA differently.

ATTO Multipath Director is a proprietary driver that enables Apple©, Windows© and Linux©, hosts to connect directly to ALUA supporting storage systems, providing a completely redundant, high-performance storage solution for workstations and servers. Multipath Director automatically discovers, configures and manages connectivity to the storage controllers for optimal performance. Competitor products are limited to using the native multipathing software built into macOS.

ATTO has tested and customized Multipath Director to assure interoperability and optimal performance with flexibility and management capabilities to tune for distinct workflows. Multipath Director also uses load balancing to aggregate performance across multiple Fibre Channel links to increase application performance. Multipath Director is available only for ATTO ThunderLink© Thunderbolt™ Fibre Channel adapters and ATTO Celerity™ HBAs.

ATTO Configuration Tools allows you customize the settings of your ATTO host adapter to maximize the performance of your storage connection.

While the factory settings on your host adapter provide excellent performance for a wide range of applications, some specialized applications may benefit from adjustment of the adapter settings to tune the adapter for a specific performance range. The Configuration Tool provides a powerful tool to help you optimize your host adapter. Additionally, this utility may also be used to verify the drivers and flash files currently in use and update the hardware flash.

XstreamVIEW™ is the new user interface for the XstreamCORE storage controller.

It is a remote management user interface for configuration, monitoring and management of storage controller products, providing advanced tuning features, including:
