Product Description

Almost New! Barely used. This scanner has a life cycle to be able to scan 120,000 photos. I've scanned 4,802 which leaves enough life cycle to scan 115,198 more photos! Thats enough for 23 families. I was able to save space by scanning 18 photo albums. Now, my photos are on my computer and backed up to iCloud. They won't fade, stick to an album, or become brittle, and I can access them from anywhere! This scanner will scan a photo up to 9" wide, and as long as you want (even panoramic!) You can scan single or double sided, and do all kinds of edits. You can scan many photos at one time and it is lightening fast! New, they sell for $650. (sometimes more) I'm asking $450. I just bought it this past December. Scan and then sell like I am. Many families can get all the use they need out of this scanner. Comes with the box it came in, manual, and all cables. There's nothing missing at all and it works AWESOME! WELL WORTH THE MONEY! Please call, text, or email.

    Almost a Great Product

    Almost a Great Product
This unit has the potential to be a phenomenal product, but has a potentially serious flaw. I have scanned over 5,000 prints with it and find an issue with it putting a bluish blob in the middle of scans, which is quite visible on faces and white backgrounds. I contacted Epson and they replaced my first unit. The new one was ok for a while, but is now doing this also. It's particularly frustrating because it is erratic. After extensive testing, best I can tell is that the flatness of the photo (not surprisingly) is quite important. The scanner really hates (understandably) cupped photos, which make it jam or not even feed. When you get them to go through, however, they almost never have this problem, possibly because they are pushing up closer to the scanner glass. Concave photos (scan surface curved away from lens) seem more apt to have it. I can't blame the unit for poorly stored photos that aren't totally flat, nor can I definitively say this is the problem. Be aware if your photos aren't flat, you may want to take measures to flatten them first. I'm sure this will be a problem for many people. I am curious if anyone else is seeing this problem or has other explanations. I have cleaned the daylights out of it so that is not the problem. In all other ways, I can mostly echo the positive comments made. A very fast, clever, unit with mostly good UI software that also does a good job of enhancing photos with the exception of red eye which is pretty bad. The red eye feature either misses red eyes or puts masks not on the eye or on spots like nostrils. It is also quite sensitive to dust--if you don't clean every five rolls or so, it is easy to get dust lines on your scans. On the flip side it is very easy to clean. It is expensive, but if you have a lot of photos and the time, it's easily worth it compared to outsourcing, especially if you split the cost with other family members/friends. Really great document scanner also when used with Epson Scan software.I would really like to hear more from Epson about the blob problem and perhaps see more scan pressure on the paper, or maybe an accessory to help flatten photos if that is indeed the problem.

I Have owned many Epson PRoducts since the mid 90's PRimarily large format Printers that i used in my Digital Graphics Studios. For me Epson was a late comer to the Scanner industry as in the early years i used Zerox and other Industrial Scanners. I am Retired now and found literally boxes and boxes of 60 years work of Photos needing Digitising. I bought the FF640 High Speed Photo and have scanned over 5000 Photos all at 600 DPI dual Sides in one pass. What is cool in the single pass dual sides featuer is that it only scans the second side if there is something on it. A thirty five photo hopper at 1 second a scan makes short work of a pile of photos in no time. True colour fidelity and hereto for unheard of scanning speeds for a self feeding photo machine.. A Must buy for any serious Archivist looking to digitize a life time of film and living.
i have also started to digitised over 700 liner notes from my Favourite CDs and dual scanning side of three leaf page and booket liner notes Was a nice feature. It Comes complete with digitising and Cataloguing software which gets you on your way fast. All my Photos are now nicely catalogued on my system and cloud backup with Google Photos.
