I really liked this blender when I got it. However, after less than 3 months of use to make a smoothie 3 to 4 mornings a week, the mixing blade quit working properly. I now get black carbon looking material in the base of the mixer each time I use this blade. I have not been able to locate a replacement blade, so have to use the grinding blade which does not work as well for my needs. They say the blades can be put in the top rack of the dishwasher, but I would not recommend this. I did it once and air dried it, but then the problems began.
I would not by this product again because the blades are not durable and replacement parts cannot be found.
