Jada Yuan

Before becoming the Times' inaugural 52 Places Traveler, Jada Yuan spent over a decade at New York Magazine as a contributing editor and culture features writer both in print and online. While there, she covered film festivals around the world, presidential conventions, and the protests in Ferguson, Mo., as well as profiled Stevie Nicks, Ava Duvernay and Bill Murray. Her cover stories and features have appeared in Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Billboard and Bloomberg Businessweek. Personal travel has taken her to Japan, Mexico, China, Afghanistan, Kenya and Senegal. She grew up in northern New Mexico, has a degree in history from Yale University and lives in Brooklyn (when she's not on the road).
